Form follows function. We follow both, creating surgically precise bicycle componentry with style as the only option. We spend days and nights awake in a jittery, coffee-induced haze, refining each element into a work of art. The result is a product line inspired by people who ride. People like you. We know your bike is a statement, a piece of you - it's your soul. Buying a product is your decision, and you should be able to get something as functional as it is sexy.
Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains we create, manufacture, and hone our products. We trust no one else to machine, assemble, test, and tweak each product we bring to the market. In the temperate rainforest surrounding us, we have subjected everything we make to the wettest, muddiest, rockiest and most brutal riding anywhere. You can see it in the eyes of our test athletes - they will not accept a product they don't believe in. Neither will we. Nor should you. That's why we are driven to ride, to invent, and to evolve. That's why we exist.
This versatile wheelset defies you, "Do your worst!"
With a 28mm rim and convertible through axle, the enduro provides a stable platform for whatever punches the terrain may throw. We increased the flange sizes to give the wheel extra stiffness while still retaining the acceleration of a lower rotational mass. Purpose-built for those times you need to climb the most technical of your local trails, then air it out at your next 4-cross event.
It's all in the name - a product that has the strength to let you test your limits, yet the light weight to keep you on every part of the trail for hours. While light enough to be raced on any cross-country circuit, this isn't some warmed up cross country rig. This is true all mountain riding. It's the six-hour ride through fireroads and grassy knolls, tight switchbacks and rock gardens, then back again.
What are you capable of doing? There are those that embrace it, and this is their wheelset. It's a wheel you can ride to the edge of the earth, and then manual right over it. With a 20% larger cross-section, the spokes are both stiffer and stronger. At the same time, the diminished rotational and overall weights allow you to make quick direction changes and respond fluidly to the reactions you have honed so well. You know what you're capable of. Don't let your wheels hold you back.
With our proprietary design, it's your choice. Order 6 pawls for a nearly instantaneous 3 degree engagement time. Or order 3 pawls for a 6 degree engagement time and a slight reduction in weight and friction.
With no spoke nipple, you lose the rotational weight and create a rim-to-hub connection that is responsive and stiff. Our one-piece design threads directly into the hub, making them some of the easiest to replace - no removal of the disk rotor or cassette is necessary.
New to the street, 7068 has a tensile strength 25% higher than 7075. We use it in key places where strength is critical and size is limited. This means a stiffer axle and less wear on the cassette body.
We use 7075 in our hub shells, period. It's strong, machines well and creates a hub shell that you can be confident of day in and day out.
Sure, we could save some grams using another material, but you need the gripping ends to endure. That's why we chose to outfit all of our axles with the best stainless we could find, to make it last the years with you.
More spokes displaces impacts across a broader area and keeps your wheel in true longer. The two cross pattern has been used to optimize lateral stiffness and torsional strength for both acceleration and braking.
Customizable to any rim, any of our colors or our All-Mountain Wheelset Race Options.
